JON A. WARD is a partner in the Firm and is responsible for the litigation and appeals practice area. He represents the Firm's clients in all phases of commercial litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, with primary emphasis on disputes involving the acquisition, ownership, leasing, use and development of commercial and residential real property; zoning and land-use planning matters; remediation of environmentally contaminated properties; environmental impact review of development projects; business and commercial transactions; insurance coverage; and corporate and partnership dissolutions.

Mr. Ward is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations and has lectured to professional groups in his area of expertise. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Chicago Title Insurance Company. Mr. Ward is an active leader in the Bay Shore community, and serves as a member of the Community Board of Southside Hospital and as a member of the school board of the St. Patrick School.

Mr. Ward was admitted to practice law in the State of New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1992. He earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University (B.A., 1987) and his law degree from The University of Notre Dame (J.D., Magna Cum Laude, 1991).
